We have a 4 mile option for runners/walkers of all ages\, and an 8 miles option for runner only. Come join the fun!\nProceeds from the race will benefit ministries at camp such as the Chestnut Ridge Campership Fund which helps provide scholarships for children and youth in financial need\, so that they can have positive camp experiences at Chestnut Ridge. By running in the race\, you can help send a kid to camp this summer! The race will be run entirely on trails and camp roads (dirt and gravel). The course will feature rolling hills through old hardwood forests and go around a 10 acre lake. Water stations will be provided. The gallery’s 21 members work in a variety of media\, providing a wide array of fine art and fine craft for holiday shoppers. The glass art includes hand-blown and kiln-formed vessels\, ornaments\, hummingbird feeders and paperweights. The jewelry in the show covers a variety of styles and techniques\, from copper and bronze to sterling and fine silver necklaces\, earrings\, bracelets and rings\, some with gold accents and stones. Visitors will also find metal sculpture\, figurative sculpture\, turned wood\, pottery\, and hand-made furniture. Oil\, watercolor\, and acrylic paintings\, scratchboard\, collage and mixed media work festively surround the three-dimensional pieces on pedestals. \nHoliday ornaments and other decorations are an annual specialty. \n\nArtist Lynn Wartski has created one-of-a-kind felted wool ornaments made with quilt batting and colored wool which she needle-felts to achieve the desired shape and fullness.\nFurniture maker Pete Rodrigues made ornaments by cutting thin slices of hardwood\, filling voids in the wood with transparent colored epoxy.\nPainter Chris Graebner creates small scratchboard ornaments. Each ornament is different\, and each is an original piece of art.\nPotter Evelyn Ward has created hand-built\, raku-fired bird ornaments in many sizes and colors. She also has adorable ceramic ladybugs.\nArtist Jude Lobe has created more of her southwestern themed shaman ornaments as thoughtful holiday gifts.\nPainter Ellie Reinhold has returned with her unique lotus pod ornaments for the holiday season.\nArtist Sally Terrell has created framed mini scratchboards\, which can hang either on the wall or a tree.\nAs always\, glassblower Pringle Teetor has made beautiful blown-glass balls in many colors\, patterns and textures. The 1815 federal\, masonry edifice was the first of its kind in this once bustling trade town\, and thanks to the preservation efforts of our founder Richard Jenrette\, remains well preserved with several original family objects on display. \nCAHPT invites you to explore the site to learn about the design\, construction\, and maintenance of the estate as well as the lives of those\, enslaved and free\, who crafted and occupied the extravagant home and landscape from 1820 to 2018. \nVisitors are welcome to explore the site select Thursdays\, Fridays\, and Saturdays April through November.
